Welcome to GALANA 3 - Generative Approaches to Langauge Acquisition North America 3

Preliminary Announcement

The 2008 meeting of GALANA (Generative Approaches to Language Acquisition - North America) will be held at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, from the 4th to the 6th of September 2008.

The special theme of this GALANA will be "Language Acquisition and Cross-Linguistic Variation": the relationship between theories of language acquisition, on the one hand, and theories of grammatical  variation across languages.

This theme will be addressed by each of our invited speakers:

   Paula Fikkert (Radboud University)
   James Huang (Harvard University)
   Lydia White (McGill University)

Submissions, however, do not need to be connected to the special theme. We will welcome abstracts on original research in any area of first- or second-language acquisition.

This material is based on work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. BCS-0822596.
Any opinions, findings and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.

GALANA is supported by the Department of Linguistics at the University of Connecticut, by the University of Connecticut-Cognitive Science Group, and the National Science Foundation.
