Hey! My name is Ksenia.  I am lucky to have several places in the world that I call home. I was born in Kyrgyzstan, I then moved to Saint Petersburg, Russia to get my BA in Russian linguistics. I was focusing on acoustic correlates of secondary accent in the Russian language. I found my new home in Colorado where I got my MA in linguistics at CU Boulder. I wrote my Master’s thesis on acoustics and distributional properties of accent in Arapaho. Finally, for the next five years Connecticut is going to be my home. I am very much interested in phonetics-phonology interference, in everything that concerns stress, accent and tone, and in typology of prosodic systems.

In my free time (ha-ha, she said “free time”) I run, cook and bake.
