Undergraduate Program
Minor in Linguistics
For the Linguistics Minor, a student must satisfy the following requirements: all the courses in Group A; at least one course from Group B.
A. Core areas of theoretical linguistics:
- LING 2010Q: Science of Linguistics
- LING 3310Q: Phonology
- LING 3410Q: Semantics
- LING 3511Q: Syntax
B. Linguistics extensions:
- Any other 2000-level Linguistics course.
Completion of a minor requires that a student earn a C (2.0) grade or better in each of the required courses for that minor. A maximum of 3 credits towards the minor may be transfer credits of courses equivalent to University of Connecticut courses. Substitutions are not posible for required courses in a minor.
