Tsinghua Workshop on Modality in Logic and Language

The 5th Tsinghua  Interdisciplinary Workshop on Logic, Language, and Meaning on the topic of Modality in Logic and Language will be held on April 3-5. The workshop is co-organized by Ting Xu (PhD 2016, now Tsinghua University). UConn will be represented by:

  • Stefan Kaufmann with a tutorial on Probabilistic semantics for modality (and conditionals), as well as an invited talk titled Directions in Modality
  • Muyi Yang (PhD 2023, now Osaka University) with a talk on Additivity-driven Prioritizing Modality: A J/K Comparison
  • Yusuke Yagi (Phd 2025, now Waseda University) and Jiayi Zhou with a poster on Bridging Similarity and Modality
